    • CUSTOMER STATED AT DROP OFF ANOTHER SHOP DIAGNOSED THIS SQUEALING NOISE THAT HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR 50K MILES AS (BEARINGS IN THE TORQUE CONVERTER) AND CUSTOMER WAS TOLD WE WILL BE INSTALLING A NEW CONVERTER WITH THE TRANSMISSION THAT FAILED FOR ANOTHER REASON AND THAT WOULD TAKE CARE OF THE NOISE IF THE OTHER SHOP WAS RIGHT WITH THEIR DIAGNOSIS OF THE ISSUES. CUSTOMER ALSO STATES THE DEALER TRIED FIXING THIS AS WELL AND FAILED. WE WERE NOT ASKED TO DIAGNOSE THE ISSUE, WE WERE JUST TOLD ABOUT IT DURING INSTALL OF THE TRANSMISSION THAT WOULD NO LONGER MOVE THE VAN. INSPECTED FOR THE NOISE AND IT IS THE LOUDEST IN THE OIL PAN/ BELL HOUSING AREA. LOOSENED BELL HOUSING AND PRIED THE ENGINE AWAY FROM THE TRANSMISSION AND NOISE IS STILL THERE. INSTALLED AND FOUND NO RUB MARKS FROM THE TORQUE CONVERTER FROM THE ENGINE SPACER PLATE BEING WARPED. CAN NOT RUN THE ENGINE SEPARATE FROM THE TRANSMISSION AS THE CONVERTER IS STUDDED SO WE CAN NOT RULE OUT AN ENGINE ISSUE. BEING THAT THIS NEW TRANSMISSION MAKES THE SAME NOISE IT IS HIGHLY UNLIKELY IT IS FAULT OF THE TRANSMISSION. THIS WAS A REMAN UNIT FROM A DIFFERENT CORE. THE ONLY OPTION WE HAVE LEFT IS TO DISASSEMBLE ENGINE/TRANSMISSION TO FIND THE NOISE OR WE SPOKE TO THE TRANSMISSION BUILDERS AND THEY WILL WARRANTY THE TRANSMISSION BUT NOT PAY LABOR IF THEY DISASSEMBLE THE TRANSMISSION AND FIND NO ISSUES AS THIS IS HIGHLY UNLIKELY. CUSTOMER CAN EITHER HAVE US DIG INTO THE NOISE DEEPER OR WARRANTY THE TRANSMISSION BUT IF THERE IS FAULTY ON THE TRANSMISSION OR LABOR CUSTOMER IS LIABLE TO PAY OUR LABOR AGAIN OR DRIVE AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS AND WARRANTY WILL COVER ANY TRANSMISSION FAILURE

    • TEST DROVE AND COULD HEAR CRUNCHING IN THE FRONT END, COULD NOT HEAR ANY GRINDING. ONLY OVER BUMPS RANDOMLY CRUNCHING. INSPECTED FRONT END AND FOUND UPPER AND LOW BALL JOINTS HAS PREMATURELY WORN. LOOKS LIKE THEY MAY HAVE BEEN CHEAPER PARTS OR NOT INSTALLED CORRECTLY. THEY HAVE BEEN REPLACED AT ONE TIME AS NOTED ON THE PRE BUYER INSPECTION. RECOMMEND UPPER AND LOWER CONTROL ARMS. ALSO FRONT DIFF SERVICE (HAS WATER IN IT) SHOULD FLUSH FLUID OUT. CAN FEEL SLIGHT BINDING IN WHEEL BEARINGS, WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA TO REPLACE BOTH HUB BEARINGS WHILE IN THERE

    • INSPECT AND FILL OUT ATTACHED INSPECTION SHEET OIL CHANGE OVER DUE AIR FILTER IS DIRTY TRANS FLUID GETTING DARK NO SERVICE RECORDS OF SPARK PLUGS BEING REPLACED. RECOMMEND DUE TO MILEAGE
